Lymphatic Drainage massage
Lymphatic drainage massage is a great 1 hour massage for those feeling tired or sluggish and who are prone to coughs and colds. It can be a useful tool for those recovering from illness, injury or surgery.
It is the lymphatic system that helps the body fight off infection and deal with the environmental toxins we face on a daily basis. It can become overloaded when a person is run down and struggle to flow freely.
Unlike our circulatory system, the lymphatic system does not have a heart to pump the lymph around the body.
The lymph relies on our physical movements to circulate. During an illness, after an injury and through other life constraints, movement can become difficult and the lymphatic system can struggle to function as well as it should.
A lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle combination of classic massage techniques and acupressure which assist the lymph to move through the body and be replenished, giving the immune system a detox. Not only can this improve overall health but it can reduce swelling, aid digestion and improve the elasticity of the skin, leaving you feeling and looking rejuvenated.
